Our address is 6484 Morning Sun Rd., Oxford, OH 45056. We are 3 miles north of the center of town (Oxford) and just 2 miles south of Hueston Woods State Park.

We recommend long pants (to avoid the saddle rubbing on bare skin and to protect your legs from insect bites) and a t-shirt. Depending on weather and air temperature, a light coat would be advisable. In cold weather/winter, please wear a heavy coat and bring a pair of gloves.

All horseback riding is weather and trail condition dependent. The following conditions may cancel your scheduled trail ride:
-rain
-lightning/thunder
-unsafe trails cause by rain the day of or night before
-hot, humid days

ALL guided trail rides and parent-assisted pony rides are reserved only via a phone call (513-255-5752) to us. Emails and text messages for reserving both types of rides will not be accepted.

-How many adults and how many kids and kid’s ages (so we can choose the correct saddle size and match a horse to their skill level)

~ Please arrive no later than 20 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled ride time to prevent your trail ride from being reduced to a lesser trail. If you arrive after your scheduled ride time by no more than 7minutes, there will be a $20 arrival late fee added to the cost of your trail ride IF we are able to get you out on your trail ride. If your arrival is after 7 minutes late to your scheduled ride time, we will cancel your trail ride and be given the opportunity to reschedule for a future date with a non-refundable deposit which will equal 50% of the total cost of your rescheduled trail ride.

~ Customers who change their rider count less than 48 hours PRIOR to their scheduled ride time will pay for the rider count given at time of original scheduling, whether all riders ride or not.

~ No sandals, no flip-flops, no clogs on the rider’s feet. Either a boot of some kind or a shoe that covers the entire foot that ties on. We do allow sneakers.

~ All “no show” customers, past and present, will pay a 100% non-refundable deposit at time of scheduling a ride with us in the future.

Cancellation of your trail ride will only be accepted by written word from the original person who scheduled the ride with a minimum of 3 days’ notice PRIOR to your scheduled trail ride for a full refund of your deposit.

Cash is the preferred method of payment; however we do accept credit/debit cards.

Cowboy boots are recommended, however a good pair of closed toe, tie-on shoes will work. Absolutely NO BARE FEET, NO SANDALS, NO FLIP-FLOPS, and NO CLOGS are permitted to be worn when going horseback riding.

Nation Road Horse Rental determines by 9 a.m. on our open days if the trails are safe to ride. If the trails are considered too risky to ride, a call is made to every scheduled ride for that day to inform them that the ride is being canceled. We will not risk our customers, our staff, or our horses on trails we consider unsafe to ride.

Customers are also encouraged to call the office (513-255-5752) on the day of their reserved ride to confirm their ride time.

All “SAME DAY RIDES” require a 50% non-refundable deposit at time of scheduling.

All “NO SHOWS”, past and present, are required a 100% non-refundable deposit at time of scheduling.
