Folks, I apologize for the long message. It is important so please read thoroughly!
Due to quite a few discourteous guests here at Nation Road Horse Rental, LLC this year, we have created a few new policies, effective immediately, that will be given to all guests when reserving a ride time. We truly hate having to update our policies like this; however, late arrivals, no-shows and unknowing rider count changes are unacceptable and effects all of that day's trail rides.
~ Please arrive no later than 20 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled ride time to prevent your trail ride from being reduce to a lesser trail. If you arrive after your scheduled ride time by no more than 7minutes, there will be a $20 arrival late fee added to the cost of your trail ride IF we are able to get you out on your trail ride. If your arrival is after 7 minutes late to your scheduled ride time, we will cancel your trail ride and be given the opportunity to reschedule for a future date with a non-refundable deposit which will equal 50% of the total cost of your rescheduled trail ride.
~ Customers who change their rider count less than 48 hours PRIOR to their scheduled ride time will pay for the rider count given at time of original scheduling, whether all riders ride or not.
~ No sandals, no flip-flops, no clogs on the rider’s feet. Either a boot of some kind or a shoe that covers the entire foot that ties on. We do allow sneakers.
~ All “no show” customers, past and present, will pay a 100% non-refundable deposit at time of scheduling a ride with us in the future.

Wow, this happens to you too? It happens all the time in my grooming salon. I started charging no-show fees and give people 15 min, then cancel. I think you are doing the right thing. You are running a business that works on a time schedule. Every minute is important.

You are one of the most responsible stable managers I've had the pleasure to encounter. Customers have to understand a proper dress code is about safety, this isn't a trip to Walmart. Arriving on time is simply a matter of respect.
